Maori fortifications

Hi Geronimo20 - how about including Maori fortifications as well? I think quite a few of the coastal pa would also count as coastal fortifications - with the same military use (controlling coastal trade and coastal land) as the European versions.

In any case, nice to know people are still tackling big ones on Wikipedia ;-) Happy editing. Ingolfson (talk) 22:40, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I agree. There are about 6000 known Māori fortifications, I don't know how many coastal. I'm sure there is interesting stuff there - maybe an article in it own right since the current one is already long and incomplete. But I don't know enough about it. What about you? In the meantime, a note at least acknowledging Māori coastal fortifications would be good. --

Yellow forts

The "Historic Russian scare forts are colour coded yellow" but should also be marked so they can be identified on black and white pages. Maybe attach the same <ref name=RussianScare /> note to each. -- SEWilco (talk) 16:54, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This looks very nice, but a citation is needed for every battery in addition to the ones I've already noted.

  1. Is it reasonably well written?
    A. Prose quality:
    B. MoS compliance:
web citations need publisher, date of access, date of publication (if given) and author (if given). Books need publisher and place of publication.
  2. Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
    A. References to sources:
    B. Citation of reliable sources where necessary:
    C. No original research:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. Major aspects:
Complete dates of completion and decommissioning would be nice for each battery if available.
    B. Focused:
  4. Is it
    neutral
    ?
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. Is it stable?
    No edit wars, etc:
  6. Does it contain images to illustrate the topic?
    A. Images are copyright tagged, and non-free images have
    fair use rationales
    :
    B. Images are provided where possible and appropriate, with
    suitable captions
    :
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:

Failed for lack of response.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 00:13, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
