Distribution

The map suggests a wider distribution than the article describes. Can someone fix this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.195.132.121 (talk) 05:08, 19 August 2008

The map is correct. The article stating Ling are unrecorded from the Irish Sea, English Channel or 'south east coast of England's is nonsense. I've known people catch Ling in the Irish Sea and the British Shore caught record is for a fish caught at Season's Point Plymouth [[1]]. Stub Mandrel (talk) 10:31, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Taxa

According to ITIS then the family of this species is Gadidae with a subfamily Lotinae, but here it is described as a family Lotidae. Is there any consistency in this? --ojs (talk) 00:52, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Norse Coast

The phrase "Norse coast" is awkward and unusual. Is it just being used as a synonym for "coast of Norway"? 130.225.26.35 (talk) 20:14, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
