You may want to take a look at the Cremation article; there's a lot more sources cited which may also be useful in this one. :) Lewis Collard 14:48, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Is cremation wrong in the eyes of God?
I would like to have opinions and knowledge from the bible, if any, about Cremation. I have been considering cremation and my family doesn't feel it is right. They have finally told me if I can find it in the bible saying that it's okay, then they could accept it with me. I even have one family menber that says she is thinking of doing it herself. Please help me and give me some insight unpon the subject. Thank you Pludie
- There is no good reason to think that God opposes cremation. Some churches have in the past, but thinking has changed since then. John Carter (talk) 23:05, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

Updated cremation policy from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints updated their policy on cremation a few years ago to a position not reflected in the current article. It is section 38.7.2 of the church's General Handbook:
I tried updating the article, but I was unsure how I should cite a handbook that is now only online. Is there someone who could help me know how to cite a specific section in this online-only handbook? Neutron star 800 (talk) 22:02, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
