Others/Ethnic groups

Why Others/Ethnic groups growth very high in 1996-2009?--Kaiyr (talk) 11:11, 6 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

History of New Caledonia gives a possible answer. People considered (considering themselves, rather, I suppose) as of mixed races are more numerous, and also more people do not report to any community. This is French territory, where race issues are sensitive in themselves; so I am not sure to what extent this (non)-category is relevant in merely ethnic terms. Hope that helps.Aya (T) 21:21, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply
