Presumably the diagram should actually have a B on d3? -- Jake 18:01, 14 October 2005 (UTC)
citation needed? seriously?
I get the feeling whoever added the "citation needed" tag to "a discovered checkmate is possible" isn't a person who's familiar with chess. It's one of those self-evident obvious truths to anyone who's played and studied the game even for a few weeks. Sure, it happens quite -rarely- in chess, but I've seen positions where a pawn move would expose the enemy's king to a bishop, rook, or queen into a checkmate. Here, I'm lazy so I'll let SineBot sign my post for me: —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.231.166.123 (talk) 08:20, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- I'll go along with you. If discovered check is possible then discovered checkmate is also possible. I made the change. Bubba73 (You talkin' to me?), 02:28, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
