notable live versions?
I think Manson sang this on New Year's Eve (technically Day) in 2001 on MTV.
1984 reference
"You're only a rebel from the waist down".
While there's an obvious similarity here with the last line of the first stanza, I don't think Orwell or 1984 has anything to do with this song. Yes, he paraphrased Orwell but he was actually making a pop culture reference to Elvis and satirizing Conservative Christian America's belief that his swiveling hips, and by extension rock 'n' roll, caused the "decline of Western civilization" and created "Disposable Teens". -Red marquis (talk) 21:53, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
Pope outfit
I read on the net that clergy outfit Manson wears in the music video is not the papal dress but that of a bishop of the Anglician church, can anyone confirm or deny this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thestor (talk • contribs) 05:24, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
