I think doual'art website as an external link should be maintained. It is a relevant source to have access to further information.
For the further reading session I think it is very useful for readers to have access to the major publications related to the topic. NKA is a scholarly journal published in the US; Revue Noire is a specialized cultural magazine which has focussed an issue on Cameroon; the Africa Remix catalogue is a rare and useful tool which provide a sort of dictionary of contemporary African art and doual'art has a specific entry in this dictionary (in English and French). I think Duke University press and MIT Press can be considered very relevant publishers; both references have pages which highlight the notability of doual'art and provide useful and relevant analysis with different perspectives. The Douala in Translation publication has been co-edited by doual'art and iStrike Foundation, but it is a specific reference for Cameroon, since it commissioned articles to relevant scholars and intellectual and it is unique as a source of information on Douala cultural scene; it does not focus on doual'art only but it contextualize its work. The article doesn't give priority to local sources (which I think would be relevant) for three reasons: 1. Wikipedia guidelines rather suggest to point at scholarly publications and university publishers; I also added specialized references; 2. sources from the US and Europe tend to be more easy to double check online by the community and the readers; 3. references in English on Wikipedia in English are more useful for readers. I also believe articles related to Africa need to claim their notability more than articles related to topic with an already wide community of editors on Wikipedia; it is maybe not correct or nice, but I trust scholarly and specialized journals and US university publishers can show more easily the notability of an African content rather then other sources (in particular Cameroonian national newspapers and local art magazines). I also added an article from "Art South Africa" which is a specialized art magazine from South Africa and it has an article by Zayd Minty on doual'art; i think the article, the author and the specialized magazine are a relevant source and it makes sense to also give space at least to one online accessible source produced in Africa. There are of course many many other sources which can be cited or listened in the references. I think those ones have the advantage of affirming doual'art notability, providing useful further reading on a topic which is not generally acknowledged, and they can help other editors to engage in the article and improve it. --Iopensa (talk) 15:20, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
