Article Trimming

I removed a couple of sections from the article. The first really was not relevant to Egungun, but was about ancestor worship. Even if you concede the argument that 95% of the world's population practices it, it really belongs in the ancestor worship article, preferably with a citation or two.

The other section is a first person account of the benefits of ancestor worship. If included, it really should be written in a more encyclopedic fashion and, as before, put in the appropriate article. PerlKnitter (talk) 20:01, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Editing Article

Hello Everyone,

I am editing this page for a class and plan to add some new sections to this article through my research. I will first be adding a new heading discussing the role of women in egungun. Pawilsong (talk) 04:27, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal

Support the April proposal to merge

Egungun Festival might be best merged here; it seems to describe the same, or a closely related, topic, best discussed in one place. Klbrain (talk) 10:03, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply
