Talk:Electrically powered spacecraft propulsion

Disambiguation page

It now seems odd that Electric Propulsion diverts to a page on electrically propelled space vehicles with only a feed back to Electric Vehicles. And even that page mainly considers road vehicles, apart from the section on vehicle types. Would it not be more sensible to make the Electric Propulsion page into a disambiguation page with entries including these two and Railway Electrification System, Submarines#Propulsion etc.? If no one objects, I'll do it in a day or two. Chris55 (talk) 14:04, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Term electrical propulsion is much more commonly used to describe space thruster based of Electrical Propulsion devises such as

Hall thruster. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.182.194.16 (talk) 14:48, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply

Disambiguation pages are used for articles that are about different things, where the term is used in completely different ways. In this case the term means propulsion powered by electricity in both cases, it's the same meaning in both case. So it cannot be a disambiguation.
The topic of electric propulsion is currently being covered as part of electric vehicle; all electric vehicles need electric propulsion.Teapeat (talk) 18:39, 19 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If we decide not to cover electric propulsion there, then this article needs to become a proper article, but I'm rather unsure that there's enough material around to do that right now.Teapeat (talk) 18:39, 19 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
