This may have been a TV movie in the U.S., but it was released in cinemas in the U.K and continental Europe. Could this explain the difference in the version said to have been shown on British T.V.? Were they showing the non-U.S. cinema version? Jock123 (talk) 10:16, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I know, the theatrical version was 105 minutes, the original US TV broadcast was 150 minutes, and the video release was 163 minutes (US timings). The version for theatrical release was very heavily trimmed, and has been released on DVD, too. The version that appears most often on British television is either the 150 or 163 minute version, shown usually in two parts. In fact, it's on television this week on True Movies 1. In the film, the song is used as background music that only we, the audience, hear as score the emotional montage at the end. Interestingly, the song “Burning Love” was included in some versions of the film. It’s performed by the band, wasn’t written or recorded until 1972, and is performed as the final song of the film’s final concert. Jackman96 (talk) 21:57, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
