Can anyone give a date as to WHEN the Eratosthenes Seamount was named? Struggling for citations. 130.216.33.81 03:34, 23 May 2007 (UTC) New Zealand User[reply]

Alternative name

"Eratosthenes Tablemount" does not appear to be a common name for this seamount. Google Scholar gives only one hit [1] and Google Books only 16 hits [2] compared to 1,210 and 4,370 respectively for "Eratosthenes Seamount". I am not convinced that this should be in the article. Just because "Eratosthenes Tablemount" is not a common name doesn't mean it shouldn't be mentioned. According to http://www.marineregions.org/, "Eratosthenes Tablemount" is a gazetted name for this seamount. Volcanoguy 23:03, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
