Incorrect contribution that Kurt Russell reprises his role as Snake Plissken from the original.

I just realized why someone contributed that "Kurt Russell reprises his role as Snake Plissken from the original". The contributor has confused this movie with

Charley Butts

It's wrong and confusing to have Larry Hankin listed as Allen West in the Cast section. Allen West was the real life fourth conspirator, but in the movie the character's name is Charley Butts. Mentioning who Allen West was might be worthwhile somewhere else, but it only serves to confuse those trying to figure out the name of an actor based on his character.

Background and historical accuracy: non-encyclopedic, un-cited sentence

The final sentence of the first para currently reads, "While it is not known whether the three escapees survived, sightings of them over the years provide circumstantial evidence that they may have." I edited this sentence to read, "anecdotal evidence" and explained this edit, but was reverted by a non-registered user. I have added a "clarify" tag with the following reason:

If they had been sighted, that would provide direct evidence that they had survived. Also, this is almost a tautological statement. If they had been sighted, then of course they survived. This statement adds no encyclopedic information. I would change or delete it myself, but my edit has already been reverted once by a non-registered user. Historical accuracy

Al(phonse) Capone appears in this film. He was in the prison on Alcatraz, but (about 3) decades earlier... --Severino (talk) 22:49, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Severino that is incorrect. I believe you are referring to the character named Litmus who joked with the newly arrived Charlie Butts that he, Litmus, was Al Capone. That joke is the only reference to Capone in the entire film. No error was made. Jyg (talk) 06:55, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Was Chester "Doc" Dalton a real person?

The Internet seems full of questions about the actual existence of Chester "Doc" Dalton or if he was a fictional character. It would be great to see some proof here. Jyg (talk) 07:03, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
