Śraddhā according to master Asanga is quite different to what has been explained here. I would like to recommend to use authoritative sources and not to quote from blogs. Good explanations can be found e.g. at Alex Berzin's website: http://www.berzinarchives.com/web/en/about/glossary/glossary.html_80737398.html

This Wikipedia entry is really weak and it is also not very clear. In the Indian master Asanga's Abhidharmasammuccaya one finds Shraddha defined as: "it is full and firm conviction with regard to that which exists, serene joy relating to good qualities, and eagerness for capability. Its function is to give a basis for will." -Kt66 (talk) 01:14, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Asanga, although born an Indian was a Buddhist. So his definition as given in Abhidharma Samuccaya is essentially following Buddhist tradition. For a traditional HIndu definition, one should see Viveka Chudamani by Shankaracharya — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.195.59.220 (talk) 12:59, 19 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Śraddhā → Faith in Hinduism – There is already a page about Faith in Buddhism, better merge the parts of Buddhism into the article on Buddhism, confine this article to Hinduism, and leave the possible confusion between the Buddhist and Hindu terms to be solved on the Shraddha disambiguation page, which already exists.
