Ummm... I don't know about comic fantasy being 'low'. That suggests that it is inferior to other fantasy and it's not - it takes just as much if not more skill to produce. I was just at a panel where authors of humorous fantasy were discussing it, and one of their points was that while comic fantasy is slotted into a pigeonhole (fantasy with fart jokes) it is nothing of the sort. ~ KJ
- doesn't matter - the merits of the definition aren't relevant; so long as some people use it, it's useful information that should be included. --AW
- The "low fantasy" sense could use some examples or references--I do not recall ever seeing it used this way. It may come out of gaming, comics, or some other non-literary field. The sense of low fantasy as "not serious" is not supported by the only print-source definistions I can find (see the "Low Fantasy" discussion). RLetson 00:58, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
Fantasy All Template
This page is mentioned in the Fantasy All Template, and Comic Fantasy is a subgenre of Fantasy. So I am going to add the template to this page.
If anyone objects, feel free to discuss it.
