Focus of infection =/= focal infection theory
Focus of infection, which apparently is an epidemiological term about a geographic location from which epidemics might spread in populations, whereas focal infection theory deals with pathology within one host, not a population. It is about a local infection, e.g. tonsillitis causing, say, infective endocarditis in the same host. Pages could be merged because the terms are similar I suppose, but there is a difference in meaning here and if merged both concepts would need to be covered. 94.196.232.188 (talk) 16:10, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
