Sorry I don't have enough information to be able to do a section on Welsh music. I am very unsure about the format of timelines. I hope this doesn't upset too many people. Ogg 13:16, 6 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Deletion/Merging/redirecting
There are many things wrong with this page
- Can the Timeline of trends in music from the United Kingdom page, and some of the pages linked from it, be rescued? I feel that these particular pages have been untouched for so long, that users have forgotten about them, so in essence they have been lost and information has been put elsewhere. Maybe it is best to delete the page altogether? --Montchav 18:52, 7 January 2007 (UTC)]
- WP:MUSIC to see what they think. --Montchav 18:47, 7 January 2007 (UTC)]
- How about just redirecting it to Music of the United Kingdom? All the links on the page should also probably be redirected to their counterparts in Category:British music history. Recury 20:44, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, but mainly we want to use the term Y in country X rather than X Y, meaning, British is not a good idea here (there are plentiful reasons for this: avoiding the amibiguous USA, avoiding ambiguity between Ireland, Northern Ireland, and England, etc). I say come up with better wording. Patstuarttalk|edits 01:23, 17 January 2007 (UTC)]

Merging
I was
Folk Music of England because that was the most-related page. I personally am glad to get rid of the page, as it annoyed me in so many ways --Montchav 10:03, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Folk Music of England: Wales, Scotland and Northern Island are not in England and it is insensitive to have this redirection. It could redirect to Music of the United Kingdom or this page should be restored with its summaries, links and an overarching explanation.--Sabrebd (talk) 17:21, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
