What are fuck me pumps?

I believe that is a colloquial expression for high heeled shoes that are meant to attract the attention of men to the wearer of the pumps in question...

The term dates back at least to the David Bowie song "We Are the Dead" from his album Diamond Dogs, "…But I love you in your fuck-me pumps, and in your nimble dress that trails." If I had a reference that this song title was definitely taken from "We Are the Dead" I would add it to the article. Grievous Angel (talk) 07:50, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This seems very plausible. The phrase is American English not British English where pumps are known as

court shoes or 'courts'. Bowie deliberately used AE in the lyrics of the Diamond Dogs album. The equivalent phrase in BE is 'fuck me shoes'. --Ef80 (talk) 10:05, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply
