If somebody has a source ...

Watching this film (twice), it occurred to me that

it is very reminiscent of those old 1970s Hammer film anthologies which used to play late on Friday night TV in the 1980s (Vault of Horror, Tales That Witness Madness etc etc)
although the "it was all a dream" ending seemed a little trite at first, on second viewing it is actually saying that "Hell is (or can be) real" after all. Goodman is sentenced to suffer in his coma for decades until his body dies of old age, enduring dreams that are far from "sweet".

However, I can't post my own commentary in the article, so we'd need a cite to published film critic. Perhaps somebody who frequents that sort of website/publication could assist.Paulturtle (talk) 01:52, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I've found a review that basically makes the first point.Paulturtle (talk) 00:10, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Leonard Byrne does not exist

Martin Freeman played both Mike Priddle and Charles Cameron.

Leonard Byrne did not play either the younger or the older Charles Cameron, he does not appear in the film, and he is not credited.

Andy Nyman, Martin Freeman, and one or two others, made up the name Leonard Byrne, to fool the rest of the cast, crew and mainstream media, into thinking that Charles Cameron was being played by a real person called Leonard Byrne.

However Charles Cameron was actually just Martin Freeman in a prosthetic mask.

The person which Martin Freeman claimed they "made up and gave him his own IMDB page to make him look like he's real," was actually an IMDB page for a real person who's known to Andy Nyman (as 1 of his 2 real credits they both worked on), so was hijacked with a false credit, until I came along and corrected the entire cast on IMDB.[1]

Here's the full cast, along with a few screenshots of Martin Freeman tearing off his prosthetic mask, for anyone who doubts the link for the interview above.[2]
