re-write

As an unregistered user, I am not normally in the habit of doing this, but I decided to have a crack at rewriting the first two - horribly written - sections (intro and 'production history') of this article.

The unaltered paragraphs were as follows:

"Gold" is a single which the English band Spandau Ballet released, in 1983, from their third album, True.

and...

Gary Kemp, joint leader, with his brother Martin, of Spandau Ballet, wrote the words to, and composed the music of, the selection, which the partnership of Steve Jolley and Tony Swain produced.

The second section is actually pretty redundant, as this information is all in the information sidebar, and doesn't offer anything by way of elaboration or additional info. But I decided to let it exist, just cleaned it.125.254.16.185 (talk) 03:32, 25 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Released to capitalise on the inaugural World Championships in Athletics?

Was the song released to capitalise on the inaugural World Championships in Athletics in Helsinki (Finland) between 7 and 14 August 1983? (Doing it during the 1984 Olympics would've meant waiting a year when the album had already been out for a few months).
