This article is written in Nigerian English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, realize, travelled, centre) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. Hello fellow Wikipedians,

"Gombe, usually referred to as Gombe State" -> that is incorrect. Gombe State is usually called Gombe State because its name is Gombe State.
