fair use

Please go to

Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline
is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Thanks for uploading or contributing to

fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale
.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Papa November (talk) 23:15, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

High Court Injunction:

Not sure if you are aware, but there was a High Court Injunction obtained against Songwriter Tony Hatch and his wife, Singer Jackie Trent who attempted to release a song "Goodbye Mr Chips" to coincide with the release of the film. Their song was not part of the film, and the plaintiffs successfully argued that if the song was poorly received, it might detract from the film's potential audience, and if it were a success, the audience would be disappointed that the song was not included in the film. MGM later approved a recording of the song by Petula Clark, even though it was never included in the film.
