I notice when looking at the Latin edition of Tacitus on the Perseus website he says "Cotini" (https://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/text?doc=Perseus%3Atext%3A2007.01.0090%3Achapter%3D43). I think in the past we (perhaps I) have accepted a comment from the typical old 19th century tertiary sources which are so easy to use because all online. I am not sure why they think Tacitus called them Got(h)ini though. What did the Latin really say?--Andrew Lancaster (talk) 11:35, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
