Differentiation between the 'common' and the 'park'

I'm not sure that the name of this page is accurate. Or rather, that the entry for the Green Point Common should be the same as the entry for the Green Point Park. In my understanding, the 'common' refers to the larger green area in Green Point that has historical significance, while the Urban biodiversity park (Green Point Park) is a relatively recent addition. In other words, the (new) Park is contained within the (old) Common, and is a separate entity.

See, for example, this piece from Cape Town Tourism (https://www.capetown.travel/neighbourhood/green-point/), "Green Point is home to the Cape Town Stadium, the Green Point Common and the Urban Park" i.e. two separate entities.

Should this entry be split into two separate entries? Michael Rowe (talk) 06:22, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
