Lead Image
If, as the article's infobox describes, Witshed was converted as an SRE (short-range escort) during the early war, she should have retained her 4.7-inch BL guns in single mountings. SREs fitted with the twin 6-pounder usually had 'A' gun replaced by the new mounting.
The lead image, however, shows a WAIR conversion, with 4-inch twin HA mounts fore and aft.
