Student Numbers

The infobox currently lists student numbers as 2,755 total comprising of 2590 undergrads, 2695 postgrads and 80 FE. This obviously does not tally. The correct numbers, according to the citation listed, are 2755 total comprising 2590 undergrads, 110 postgrads and 60 FE students. These numbers still do not sum perfectly but are in line with the source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.155.234.21 (talk) 07:44, 10 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Promotional twaddle

Wikipedia is above politics, so I fail to understand how this promotional piece for the pet project of a leading sponsor of a politic party, should escape scrutiny. Start with the name- at least discuss how an FE college should get the right to call itself a university. How on earth have so many positive adjectives been crammed into such a small space? I landed here while checking the claims and references for JCB Academy which had been tagged as an {{advert}}. I am very tempted to be bold and make a few improvements. Has anyone got any comments first. --ClemRutter (talk) 15:38, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The problems

  • also everything is sourced to a document published by the college
  • there is load of stuff talking about awards but nothing on the research or teaching that merited the award or indeed on the status of the award.
  • image copyright needs to be investigated- non of the uploaders has a history

Nick Herbert

Looking for names to wikilink, I came upon mention that a Nick Herbert opened the Postgraduate and Professional Development facility at the University in 2010. Would that be the Nick Herbert who is now Lord Herbert of South Downs? At time he was an MP but in 2010 he transitioned in political portfolio from Shadow DEFRA Secretary to government Minister of State at the Home Office. I am hesitant to wikilink the name to this politician until I am sure others can confirm whether or not it is same man or a namesake.Cloptonson (talk) 17:35, 25 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
