Coeducational status

There is bit of a myth that Florida State University was always a female-only institution. This is incorrect. FSU started out as an all-male school then became a coeducational school for the vast majority of its existence. FSU was changed by Buckman's law in 1905 to female-only status, which lasted only to 1947 when it was returned to coeducational status.
