Cannon

Cannon should have his/its own page, really. The Compleat Cannon has an introduction from which to work. ntnon (talk) 21:07, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agree, or at the very least his own section here. I don't have The Compleat Cannon (though I do, for some reason, own multiple copies of Heroes, Inc. #1), so it's hard for me to say — though, clearly, this article is too listy and needs work. (I say this as the responsible/guilty party — must have been fairly early in my Wiki-work...!) --Tenebrae (talk) 21:53, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, this is J. David Spurlock, Director of the Wallace Wood Estate. I agree, Cannon is an active trademark of The Wallace Wood Estate which is far from limited to the old issues of Heroes Inc and deserves its own page or for this page to be updated to just be Cannon. Cannon ran as a newspaper strip for years in the Overseas Weekly in the early-to-mid '70s. Wood published 4 large format annuals in the mid-to-late '70s. The long-running strip is even more notable than the appearances in Heroes Inc. and has been translated and published in Europe. The Fantagraphics paperback, "The Complete Cannon" came out in the 1990s, as did a comic-book mini-series from Fantagraphics. Last year the Wood Estate authorized a new hardcover collection, released through Fantagraphics which is more complete than the 1990s paperback as it included both the newspaper strip and the Heroes Inc appearances. The Estate is currently working on a Brazilian Cannon book. We also have plans to revive Heroes Inc (another Wood Estate trademark) in comic books. --Vanguardpub (talk) 12 April 2017 (UTC)
