The correct IPA transliteration of Hoppípolla is ['hɔ^hpip^hɔtla] and not [hopɪːpoouːklaː] as someone transliterated it. If you have any questions please consult the page for Icelandic phonology.

pp after a vowel, preaspirated = [^hp]

I propose removing "It is considered the most well known song within its genre." as this is both unverifiable (considered by whom?) and meaningless (which single genre does it belong to?). There's something to be said about its wide use on radio and TV, and therefore it's probably fair to say it's very recognisable to the general public at large.
