The result of the proposal was no move

The "(Disney)" part of this page's title is unnecessary, as nothing else in Wikipedia is specifically named "Horizons". Besides, the page has a disambig at the top of it, just in case anyone comes here by accident. - Brian Kendig 01:59, 27 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support – if there's nothing else with the name "Horizons", then I agree that the "(Disney)" part is unnecessary. (Brian-- you should only need to keep voting open for two days or so; I don't think this will be particularly controversial.) --bdesham 02:56, 27 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that it's not a big deal, but there already exists a page at Horizons (a redirect to Horizon) and I'm not an admin so I don't have the ability to move the redirect out of the way, so I figured I'd take the official route so that, if accepted, someone else could move the article for me.
  • Oppose. Just do Google on "horizons" to convince yourselves that there is a lot of un-Wikipediafied content that is likely to conflict with this move in some near future. And this is for a no longer existent attraction ride! The word "Horizons" is too popular for this particular meaning to safely exist without the (Disney) modifier. For example, the University of Cincinnati's alumni magazine is called "Horizons": UC magazine "Horizons" website. -- Mareklug talk 14:29, 27 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Test Track goes directly to the page for the Epcot attraction even though there are other uses of the term "test track". The Land goes directly to the page for a series of books under this title even though there are other uses of the term "the land". If there eventually become several pages in Wikipedia for things named "Horizons", then [[Horizons]] should go to the most common usage, with a disambig to the others. - Brian Kendig 16:05, 28 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose I agree with Mareklug having the suffix of (disney) or (Epcot) may help people better find this page. LordBleen 15:06, 27 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
If someone's looking for Horizons, I think they first thing they'll type in is "Horizons", not "Horizons (Disney)". - Brian Kendig 16:05, 28 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Plural forms of common nouns should redirect to the common noun. Test Track and The Land are bad examples, as they're both proper nouns, not common nouns. -Sean Curtin 22:51, 2 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like my proposal didn't fly. Instead, I'm going to move this article to "Horizons (Epcot attraction)", because I think "(Disney)" is too ambiguous. - Brian Kendig 23:04, 4 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Podcast Stealing

I've heard recently on a Disney podcast someone reading off the entire article of Horizons. Doesn't that count as plagerism? Walt Disney 21:45, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of EPCOT from page title

Seeing as how there isn't another ride named Horizons, I feel the EPCOT Center name in the title isn't nessecary.

  • Support the last vote was in 2005, and still nothing else is called "Horizons" in 2007. --blm07 06:18, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll give this vote 2 more weeks. If I don't get a third vote within that time frame, I will enforce the proposal. 01kkk 15:55, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discuss)- No other page aside from a redirect to Horizon has the namesake, and the (Epcot attraction) isn't nessecary. 01kkk 20:57, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply

Secret Upstairs Party Room with Perks for GE employees

When I went to epcot on my honeymoon, my new husband and I got to go on the second floor of the Horizons building because he was a GE employee. They served free food and drinks and, when we left, got us on the ride ahead of the line. I don't remember the details and could not find an online source. I think this should be a part of the article. Can someone add it?Mellie107 (talk) 23:07, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
