The book Sanjit Narwekar (1994). Directory of Indian film-makers and films, gives his name as Inder Sen. That was his name. I have corrected it. And he has no relation to Yash Johar. They were born and brought up in different cities. Karan Johar's autobiography never mentions any connection. If they were related, Yash Johar surely would have met and gone to him. He did no such thing.

I. S. Johar brought freshness and liberalism to Indian Cinema. The statement 'Johar was a unique and idiosyncratic individual, a lifelong liberal who poked fun at institutionalised self-satisfied smugness' highlights I.S. Johar's foresight, prudence and concern for the common masses. It was very brave of him to question Indian hierarchical establishment and challenge the status quo.

It was Indra Sen.
