new infobox

how about a new infobox for the IM listing their attacks.I was thinking about the box for "terrorism in India since 2001" but that doesn't make sense for IM. We can also then get rid of the mere listing in the first section. Lihaas (talk) 05:30, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deccan Mujahideen

"Deccan Mujahideen" is a name appearing in current news stories regarding this date's Mumbai attacks, while some sources refer to Indian Mujahideen. Article on the Deccan Plateau indicates that the name Deccan is an anglicised form of the Prakrit word dakkhin, itself derived from a Sanskrit word (Sanskrit: दक्षिण) meaning 'South.' Perhaps others can illuminate? Bustter (talk) 00:23, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Banning

I deleted a reference to the Indian Mujahideen having been outlawed for two reasons. Firstly, the original reference contains no indication that the claim is true. It merely says that other organisations considered to have been important to the formation of the Indian Mujahideen had been banned. Secondly, a more recent reference made it clear that no ban had yet been imposed. If anyone has more recent information on this matter, please post it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.139.55.32 (talk) 10:13, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

I was just going through the WikiPedia page on Indian Mujahideen, an alleged terrorist outfit of which there are lots of contention. The way some series of incents were attributed to them and later found it to be perpetrated by somebody else rendered me to find out information about them as to whether it's a media baby.

Nevertheless, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Mujahideen#Suspects_and_arrests shows that the blasts at Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad was plotted by IM which was later proven to be otherwise. The article on WikiPedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mecca_Masjid_bombing itself shows that it was perpetrated by some other outfit. Neither would I want to believe that all these came up fortuitously. There are enough reasons to believe that it's part of a larger conspiracy.

I am a Muslim who go by the books. Islam strongly denounce any sort of violence. You may be surprised to know what Qur'an suggested how to deal with blasphemers; just to go away from the discussion and get back in only once it's stopped. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.242.161.160 (talk) 07:27, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 01:06, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
