The FBCD cover or the first issue cover? I think the FBCD cover is more indicative of the event itself and is, essentially, "the" cover of the event. It's also drawn by artist Jim Cheung who is one of the artist on the event. The first issue cover doesn't really tell much of the event and isn't drawn by one of the event artists. Keep in mind there is no set precedent for using the first issue for an event in the articles, we just usually do because they're the first and only covers for the events.
