It seems that neither Wiki nor IMDB pays much attention to the aspect ratio in which a movie was shot and/or issued. This is a shame, as many movies have been altered from their original aspect ratio for home release. Is there any way to find out the original aspect ratio of this motion picture? A google shows several sites listing the original aspect ratio as 1.85 to 1. Not sure how reliable they are though.—RJH (talk) 19:03, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The first sentence of this article currently (April 14, 2024) reads, "Island of Terror, also known as Night of the Silicates, is a 1966 British horror film released by Planet Film Productions." I think this movie is clearly mostly science fiction with some horror elements, so I think the first sentence should read, "Island of Terror, also known as Night of the Silicates, is a 1966 British science fiction horror film released by Planet Film Productions."
