According to the article it is supposed to be "2 star star 2 (upside-down) star star" but on my coins from 2002 and 2005 it is only "2 star 2 (upside-down) star". Ameki (talk) 18:40, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why the recommendation from The Commission of the European Communities is not in this article? The same section of it "Article 4. Design of the national sides", applies also to Italian coins. Three of the coins designs clearly extends to the stars: €2, €1 and €0.10, and the other are also at least very close to the stars.
