For what it's worth, the following images were uploaded for this page, but not used. If anyone feels them useful, feel free to add them back. Otherwise they can be orphaned. --

I think that instead of "Ajax thread" the article should be "Acme thread". done -Coolhandscot

That sounds right (and explains why I couldn't find a Wikilink for the "Ajax" thread form). It was my mistake -- thanks for correcting it!

Isn't device shown here a screw jack, a device which employs a jackscrew.
