Banned?
"In America, the song was banned outright…." Was the song actually banned, or simply unreleased? "Banned" suggests the effort of some censor working in an official capacity (in spite of the First Amendment). John... Lennon?
I'm not an expert in David Bowie, but anyway... I just had the idea it may be John for John Lennon, cause I know Bowie loved him. is it true then that " A UK release of "John, I’m Only Dancing (Again)" in December 1979 had the original version as the B-side"
