The Masters was held in January following the year for which it was the year-end championship through the mid-80's. This presents a problem for the timeline, but either way it is addressed, it should be clearly explained in some way. Personally, I favor putting the Masters tournaments in the year for which they are the "year-ending championships" rather than the year in which they are held (in which case, they are no longer "year-ending" in any meaningful sense), but others may think differently. 108.56.245.21 (talk) 17:17, 26 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
