Dubious Criticism

I know of the argument that the Kyoto School either contributed to the jingoism of the intellectual culture of Japan, or that no member did anything significant to stop it - but I cannot recall having heard or read anything that criticizes them in relation their appropriation of Eastern traditions and Buddhism. Can anyone corroborate this? - Sam 04:46, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Colonialist?

I'd like to see someone corroborate the apparent accusation that Tanabe supported Japanese colonialism. In Philosophy as Metanoetics, he admits supporting the Fascist regime, yet it is in that book as well that he seems to provide a philosophy that rejects such nationalistic ventures. - Charles 14:14 27 December 2006
