La Bayadere is not a type of ballet. It IS a ballet (it premiered in February of 1877 in St. Petersburg, Russia). Whoever created this article hasnt the slightest idea what they are talking about Mrlopez2681 17:03, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is an article about BALLET, not Russian history.

This is an article pertaining to ballet history, not Russian history. Yes, the ballet premiered in Russia (created by a French choreographer and a Czech composer), but that does not make it an article that shuod be categorized as "Russian".

There are sources listed at the bottom of the page. --Mrlopez2681 18:08, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FINISHED

After some perfecting, etc., I have finished this article on the ballet "La Bayadere", a labor of love of sorts. The article is in depth to a degree perhaps over-the-top for wikipedia, but I like knowing others can find info on this beloved ballet without having to search for out-of-print books for a 100 years. It is my hope that my fellow wikipidians don't butcher this article the way they butchered my article on Swan Lake.-Mrlopez2681 06:49, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is, you didn't follow the Wiki guidelines - references, yes, but no inline citations for paragraphs for which source and page number. HammerFilmFan (talk) 22:38, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
