A fact from La Cava Bible appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 4 April 2006. The text of the entry was as follows: Did you know... that the decoration of the Asturian La Cava Bible is limited to four crosses, elaborate initials, and frames surrounding explicits and titles? What language is this in? I would think that that would be one of the basic facts included in the article... I mean, I assume it's Latin, but I have no way of knowing for sure... zafiroblue05 | Talk 22:51, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Metzger does not say that this is the earliest Latin ms with the heavenly witnesses, and there are earlier mss. So I am removing the Metzger reference, which really simply references Alamo and Thiele, and put in a google reference to a book that shows the text.

The Metzger reference had been "Bruce M. Metzger, The Early Versions of the New Testament (Oxford 1977, p. 338.)" and what Metzger says is:

The text of the Gospels shows signs of being a revision, being mingled with Old Latin elements. It contains the comma Johanneum 1 John v. 7 after vs. 8.
