’Barbus’ canis is most probably a misidentification of ’Barbus’ chantrei. Both of these species should not be listed under Barbus, because Barbus species in the strict sense are very distinct from these species and limited to Europe in disribution. It can either be called ’Barbus’ (with single quotation marks), if one wants to state that the generic position is uncertain or placed in the genus Carasobarbus (following most contemporary authors). I'd recommend changing "Barbus canis" to "Carasobarbus chantrei" in the article. 141.2.253.17 (talk) 16:32, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I added a new category(Lakes of the Great Rift Valley). Lake Amik was part of Dead Sea Transform and dead sea is in rift valley. That means lake amik was also part of it.--Ollios (talk) 09:17, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
