Surely Laxey is a village, not a town?

It's Laxey Village Commissioners, after all.

What parish is Laxey in? The right hand section has Laxey in "Laxey Parish", but going by the list of parishes at the bottom of the page, there is no "Laxey" in the parish list. Article says "In 1854 the Laxey Wheel (Lady Isabella) was built to pump water from the mine shafts but mining in Laxey came to an end 35 years later in 1929."

By my reckoning 35 years after 1854 is 1889 not 1929. Anyone know what this should really be ? --81.104.39.63 (talk) 00:06, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
