Notability of lists (whether titled as "List of Xs" or "Xs") is based on the group. One accepted reason why a list topic is considered notable is if it has been discussed as a group or set by independent reliable sources

What is required, compared to say, List of Doctor Who supporting characters or something? If a series is notable enough for an article, when do characters become notable or numerous enough to warrant a list in your eyes? A bit confused about what distinguishes some over others.

Concerns with OR or uncited seem related to individual claims on a list, not whether the list should exist at all. 64.228.90.87 (talk) 22:29, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

doctor who has dozens to hundreds of sources that discuss the characters. mcstuffins has no such reach/coverage. There are barely any sources covering the show in any of its aspects. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 00:06, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
