Milwaukie City Center

According to TriMet, Milwaukie City Center is no longer a transit center. Should there be a section for former transit centers? Also, is the center notable enough to have its own article? --Another Believer (Talk) 22:47, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually there is a new Milwaukie Transit Center that opened just last December. Still on SE Jackson St. between 21st Ave. & Main St. The old Milwaukie TC at 21st & Jackson opened in 1979 (its previous location being at SE Monroe St. between Main St. and 21st Ave.). However, I can't tell if it can be a transit center per se. WikiPro1981X (talk) 00:44, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I believe there should be a section devoted to the transit centers that were. [1] WikiPro1981X (talk) 20:55, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a section on former transit centers. It sat on my to-do list for a long time, because I didn't want to add an unreferenced section, and therefore I needed time to gather some references before uploading the list. SJ Morg (talk) 20:03, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Category

Should Category:Transit centers in the United States be removed from this article and added to the parent category TriMet transit centers? --Another Believer (Talk) 16:05, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In my opinion, not at this time. Currently, the United States cat has no subcats at all, and it would look odd if the TriMet cat were the only one – and might cause someone to feel compelled to create an intermediate cat such as "Transit centers in Oregon", which would not be useful, especially considering that the term "transit center" is not precisely defined anywhere on Wikipedia. As long as this TriMet "List" article already exists, I'm content leaving it in the United States cat and omitting Category:TriMet transit centers there, and thereby leading readers directly to the list from the U.S. cat and not forcing them to go via the local cat. However, I guess that's not conventional practice, so if someone else feels strongly the other way, they can change it. SJ Morg (talk) 20:14, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
