Edit Request: US & Canada Link

Disclosure: I am paid by Theresa's Fund, which runs DomesticShelters.org. We are a non-profit organization. Because of COI, I'm requesting that DomesticShelters.org be added to the list of US- and Canada-based hotlines on this page. DomesticShelters.org provides a searchable database of all local domestic violence shelters and programs which include DV hotlines, with each appropriate hotline being listed on the results page. The National Domestic Violence Hotline (TheHotLine.org) in the US often refers domestic violence victims to local hotlines because locally-based hotlines are best able to serve victims where they live, and this also alleviates stress on the hotline's resources, so having an easily accessible database of hotlines is valuable information for users of this Wikipedia page. There are also many Canadian provinces without listed hotlines, so providing a national searchable source is also valuable. Hmcraig (talk) 14:41, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: Please establish a consensus with editors engaged in the subject area before using the {{Request edit}} template for this proposed change. Currently, the page only lists hotlines, not other sites listing hotlines. I don't think this specific link is necessarily bad (and, in fact, did not even click it), but this has the potential to become a huge target for link spam, and I don't want to unilaterally open that floodgate. mi1yT·C 11:47, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
