Current Event July 2018

I thought that Herschend sold its stake in Ride The Ducks to Ripley's. See this article from December 2017. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.199.14.226 (talk) 13:17, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Edits

I removed the paragraph about the 1999 Arkansas incident, as all information I could find on it suggests that it is not related to Ride the Ducks or Herschend Entertainment. According to this page, it was owned by White and Yellow Duck Sightseeing Tours, and operated by Land and Lake Tours. Given the somewhat "current event" nature of the article due to the recent incident, I removed the section to prevent misleading readers. If someone can verify that the incident was related and source it, feel free to revert. WikiToaster (talk) 02:49, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If the incident isn't connected to Herschend, it doesn't belong, even if there wasn't a current incident to put the company in the spotlight. Thanks for looking into it! --McDoobAU93 (talk) 02:51, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

July 7 incident article?

As additional details come to light on this incident, I'm starting to wonder if this doesn't merit its own separate article. It reads like the investigation is focusing on the tugboat that was pushing the barge instead of on the duck boat, so this could have additional ramifications. Opinions? --McDoobAU93 (talk) 14:58, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No need to expand out unless there is significant enough information to warrant a separate article. Use the Great Adventure haunted house fire as a great example of what needs to happen when an article needs to be split off. SpikeJones (talk) 02:02, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dollywood lawsuit

A woman is suing Dollywood for $2m claiming spinal cord injuries when riding RiverRush in 2017. Didn't want to update the main article with this information, pending results of the trial. Something to keep an eye on while we wait for further information - https://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2018/06/dollywood_sued_for_2_million_b.html SpikeJones (talk) 19:48, 29 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
