I struggle with the idea that every article about DR Congo provinces starts with something about it being new. It used to be like this. Nostalgia-ville. The current provinces are the current provinces and should be described as such.

What theused to be can go in the history section. The official reorganisation was 2015, implementation was a bit later, we're now in 2023.
