Is there any need to have spoilers in the opening paragraph?!?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.199.211.213 (talk) 21:17, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Dr. Hill does *not* confess having been drunk.

Dr. Hill does not confess, during the deposition, to having been drunk when he performed the surgery. In fact the topic of his having been drunk is not even raised until after he has left the deposition room. (Check the film at 49 minutes 17 seconds into the film.)

Tracy's abortion

There is nothing in the film that indicates or implies that Tracy had the abortion done illegally.  The only reference to the abortion is Tracy's mother discussing it with Andy.  She tells him that Tracy pocketed the money given to her for the abortion and had the abortion done at a clinic.  That may be dishonest, but it's not illegal. (Check the film at 1 hour and 15 minutes into the film.)

"Married man"

Nothing is said in the film to indicate that the man who thought he was paying for Tracy's abortion was married. And the fact that Tracy's mother says that the man refused to marry Tracy actually implies he was single.

Credits (Dr. Lilianfield)

There is no actual character in the film named Dr. David Lilianfield.  "David Lilianfield" is apparently a pseudonym used by Dr. Hill; and the film never even actually shows him using the pseudonym.  Just as important, the film's ending credits do not mention anyone as playing Dr. Lilianfield.
