--==Parampara==-- The content in this article is largely false and highly biased. The content is an effort by some tamilian to give undue importance to tamilians. My points of contentions are: First, The area was not founded by any tamilian as has been claimed in the article. Second, The area is not densely populated by Tamil Brahmins. The majority population in the area is Kannadigas and Konkani speaking natives of Karnataka. The content in this article must be scrapped immediately. Responsible editors are requested to take this suggestion seriously. I shall cooperate with the concerned persons to ensure that the content is actually objective and not twisted to suit egos of tamilians. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Parampra (talkcontribs) 05:14, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- completely agree with Parampara. it is a highly biased article written by a member of the iyengar community, overstating their influence in the area. the origins of malleshwaram and first families here are definitely mulukunada brahmins and konkanis. The Iyengars came in much later. the founding resident of malleshwaram was H.V. Nandjundayya, the acting dewan of Mysore, and the founder and first vice chancellor of the Mysore university, a great statesman who built many cultural centers like Kannada Sahitya Akademi and Sammelana etc. The road 6th main Malleshwaram is named as 'Rajamantra Praveena H. V. Nandjundayya road' where Rajamantra Praveena was the honor bestowed to him by the King of Mysore for his peerless work. editors must take note of the article. and i will also work with the authorities to get material proving this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._V._Nanjundaiah — Preceding unsigned comment added by 106.51.114.28 (talk) 06:47, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Its Malleshwara or Malleshwaram and not Malleswaram. We request the concerned person to edit this article using right NAME

"Malleswaram" ---- The Rock Eshwaran

I'm a Bangalorean, I'm 68 years old man. My father's native is Mumbai. My father moved from Mumbai to Bangalore regarding business in 1941, we are residing in Rajajinagar. Our mother tongue is Marati, I have seen this article few years ago which had many detailed information about Malleswaram. As we were residing in Rajajinagar, my father had a client doctor in malleswaram during 1970's who was Tamil Iyengar, and many people during 1950 - 1980's lived in Malleswaram are Tamil Brahmins who are orthodox, they worshiped Shiva and Krishna those days in Malleswaram, I have participated in many cultural activities conducted at Malleswaram during my school and college days, I have even participated in many sport competitions conducted district level. I agree with the previous article that people resided at Malleswaram was Tamil Brahmins, later came Konkani's and Kannadigas to Malleswaram, almost other regional language people are rare in Malleswaram. I disagree with previous talks, they are trying to prove with current linguistic and political support. Even I can prove that the people lived in Malleswaram were Tamil Brahmins, the name of Malleswaram states that is has been named in Tamil. Malleswaram was named by Tamil Brahmins, considering the small shiva temple on rock that is "Kadumalleswara temple" now. Malle in Kannada means rock or Mallai in Tamil, Eswaram means Shiva in Tamil. Considering Shiva temple on Rock, they named the area as Malleswaram later. You can still find many Tamil Brahmins residing in Malleswaram, according to me the temples built in Dravidian architecture are built by Tamilians. You can refer census ratio from 1950's till 1990's which clearly states that people live at Malleswaram was Tamil Iyengars, you can't even find one old traditional Konkanian or Kannadigan house at Malleswaram, I can show you many traditional Tamil Brahmin houses in Malleswaram whcih were built in 1940's, 50's, 60's and 70's they are clearly mentioned on their house name plate. Well, I agree that my talk might hurt Kannadigas ego, however I would still want Wikipedia to provide legitimate information to world wide and local people who are seeking information on "Malleswaram" and "Rajajinagar". I would like to inform that Malleswaram and Rajajinagar is the largest Tamil residing areas from 1940's, "Rajajinagar" is named after former TamilNadu C.M Rajaji. One thing makes me shocking about " Prominent Landmarks" talk, it refers Nadeshwara temple as 3,000 years old. This is really bad.
