I don't know if anybody is actively looking to improve this page; but I think we need to split up Seef, Juffair, etc as articles of its own, rather than giving two-liners in the Manama article. I'm doing just that. Once I have individual articles for each place, I'm just going to link those new pages here rather than describing each place. I have listed out places in Bahrain on the Bahrain page. We need to create articles on each place. -- Shijaz 20:02, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It can be spelled as Al-Manāmah(المنامة) in Arabic and Manama in English. But in conditions name also spelled Al-Manama in English. --

It states in this article that the population of Manama is 155,000 and that this is about one quarter of the total Bahrain population - which is listed on the Bahrain page as over one million. How does this work?  PN57  23:29, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Most pages on cities have a collage of images of the city in question, however that is not the case here. I've been thinking of replacing the Manama skyline photo with this one; yay or nay ?[1] Or someone could make their own collage with all the photos on here. I removed the flag from manama since the city doesn't have a flag but they do have a municipal emblem but Bahrain's flag isn't necessary for the city of manama Sufyanxtreme (talk) 20:56, 16 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Owing to repeated disruptive editing and disagreements regarding whether or not Manama is the largest city in Bahrain, and in the interest of avoiding a protracted and pointless edit war, I will use this section as a platform to provide sources in favour of Manama being the largest city. Encyclopedia Brittanica lists Manama as the largest, as does multiple other sources including newspapers. If anything, articles have reported Muharraq being the second largest city in the country.
